I was playing a 1980 game today with all AI option selected

I'm playing in Australia, so i'm not really have any effect on the rest of the AI i assume.

In 1983 there are 18 companies listed in the stock area.

Looking at the competition screens on the world map.
Europe is the most active, though noticeably less so than what ive seen in 1901.
There are many gaps in the US.
e.g. No-one has sold anything in NY for the last 3 years for example.
As a minor note, there is also no-one selling in Aus other than me.

If the AI have existing branches/factories when they start in 1980, i get the feeling they are not doing a great job of using them.

Just for comparison and to show my expectation of activity isnt unreasonable,
By 1901 in another save i just checked:
There are 4 companies active in NY.

Open Beta 1.14 worked fine some time ago (I was too busy to play for a week or so).

There is nothing of interest in the logfile, and mouse doesn't work in fullscreen too (that was my last hope)

The "Summary" button, in all design screens, is spelled "Summery".

For some reason, i felt the need to check that typo out in the dictionary.

I was trying to use Gearcity in a different windows user profile today, for reasons i wont go into.

The game was giving me an error related to ogre that said i needed the videosettings file.
Im actually familiar with this file as ive had some minor issues with it before. (long story)

I looked in the AppData/Roaming/Vent for the second profile i was on and noticed it doesn't have a Vent and Gearcity folder at all.
Once i copied over the AppData/Roaming/Vent folders from one profile to the other, it worked properly.

I unfortunately learned the hard way just now that when you uninstall, it gives you no warning that it deletes all of your save files and other data in your user/appdata folder.

So I would like to suggest that it does either remind you its going to delete all your user files, or give a tickbox so you can choose whether to delete them or not.

I think im on fairly solid ground to do this, as most games i play either dont delete your user files at all when you uninstall (most steam games for e.g.) or give you the tickbox i mentioned allowing you to choose. (many other games).

There are a few other confirmation related suggestions floating around, but im confident this one is in a different category and deserving of its own thread.]]>
