I imagine this would be complex to implement, but it does open up some interesting possibilities.
The idea would be to track or extract data from a savegame, where a previously played company could be added that would closely match the locations/strategies/vehicles/expansion/price point strategy used over the course of the game.
This could then be added as a company profile, that would be added at the start of the game or through a mod file.
Likely it would require key parameters to be matched in game settings (difficulty level, etc).
This could be used to create niche companies or major powerhouses (on good runs). They'd probably make some intense competition and force adaptation.
An interesting side effect of this would be that such files could be traded/downloaded/batched etc which would make an interesting competitive environment and a form of multiplayer.
A more simplistic version of this would be to analyze a save game file and generate a company profile that would more loosely try to follow the CEO's strategy
More or less the equivalent of ghost racing in a sports car game
