[$500] #210 | War Border Changes
#1
Price: $500

Description: On some maps, the city ownership doesn't change during wars. This bounty adds that missing data to the city maps.

For example, when Germany takes over France, french cities will become German or Vichy when they historically change.

This will lock you out and/or gain you access to more contracts. It could also play a role in nationalization, like what happened with Renault's collaboration with the Germans during WW2.

Requirements: None

Required By: None

Concerns: There will be a lot of data to parse. A lot of cities change hands very quickly, which could cause lots of notifications to the player. It would also cause contracts to end frequently as warning nations take over the city. This is one of the reasons why I didn't implement this feature in the first place.

Eric's Opinion: This bounty could open the door to new features, but it also could be quite annoying with how the contracting systems work. Image you just scored a French tank contract, only to be taken over by the Germans. You bid on a German tank contract, only for the war to end. The game flags you as a collaborator, and you either pay fines, get your factories confiscated, or your company gets nationalized. If the game allows you to switch companies, maybe you could find work in a German company at that point, but no French company nor French allies would hire you. Of course, most of that requires the funding of other bounties. This bounty only changes the nation during major wars.
