Cities
The number of cities on the main map is increased to 896.
New cities start appearing on the map from the year 2020 onward.

AI Companies
The total count of companies is raised to 3 400.
Companies are distributed across the years 2010 – 2119.
Each year between 19 and 60 new companies are generated; generation frequency is higher in densely populated cities.

Company Identification
The game contains 300 unique base names for companies. To prevent duplicates, each company receives a unique identifier.

Naming format:
foundation year + base name + founding city.
If the resulting string is too long, only year + name is displayed.

Balance
Adding more cities expands the player’s potential profit, especially early in the game.
The mod activates a purchasing‑power multiplier, providing smoother economic progression.
Starting from 2020, the number of cars bought at the beginning is reduced, but it gradually increases as the game advances.

Nice. I'm legally not allowed to download mods, so I can't check, but how well is the game performing with 3400 AI?

Companies are emerging gradually, at a rate of approximately 19-60 per year.
The first two numbers indicate the period (from, to), and the third number indicates the amount of companies that will emerge during that period.
(2010, 2020, 200),
(2020, 2030, 600), approximately 350 companies by 2023
(2030, 2040, 600),
(2040, 2050, 500),
(2050, 2110, 1500)
Some turns take a couple of seconds, others may take longer.
Perhaps you have a utility to measure performance more accurately? I'll send you the mod. Smile

I'm not allowed to touch any mods, otherwise I lose my DMCA Safe Harbor exemption. If I lose my DMCA Safe Harbor exemption, I will have to review every mod posted on here and on Steam and delete/remove any with copyright or trademark violations, otherwise I am legally liable for it. Which, realistically would mean me banning all mods, because I don't have the time to do that, or the legal resources if I screw up.

So, thank you for sending it to me, but as I said, I am legally not allowed to touch mod files.

Sadly, the bench marking code requires a compiler flag, which is disabled on release builds because it slows things down a little.

But good to hear that the game does not grind to a halt.

After several tests, if the number of companies exceeds 500, the duration of the turn significantly increases.
Instead of increasing the number, a different approach was chosen:

the total amount of companies was reduced to a base value of 300.
If the 300-company option is selected, then:
at the beginning of the game (2020), only about 20 companies are added to the map.
As the game progresses, companies will be added gradually, several per year.
Companies are more evenly distributed across regions.
At the beginning, they are added to specific regions and cities with high population figures (Tokyo, New York, etc.).
In this way, a small number can “cover” important parts of the map, and at the same time, companies do not compete at the beginning of the game.
