Description: With the Move to ID System bounty, we will no longer have the vehicle's base name as a signifier of linage and vehicle image sharing. That will free us to allow you to rename your vehicle designs after you have started or finished their design.

Concerns: Squeezing the button somewhere in the UI might be a small challenge.
Eric's Opinion: This is an often requested feature that we haven't been able to implement because of issue #49. After resolving issue #49, we should be able to rename vehicle's on a whim like you can with components.
