GearCity Linux Release!
#1
Tired of always winning? Sick of those easy cartoonish tycoon games
with unrealistic economics? Have you ever wanted to manage your own
car company? Do you play games on Linux?

Well friend, I have great news for you! GearCity has been released for Linux!

GearCity is the economic business simulator that put you in charge of
an automobile manufacturer. Play 120 years of automotive history with
realistic economic data and simulations.

This release brings our Linux client up to par with our Windows release--
all major features from the Windows release are included. We'll try to
maintain same day simultaneous releases for future updates.

The current build does have a few Linux specific issues which will be
addressed over time:
  • 32-bit binary. (This requires Multi-arch support)
  • Music is disabled
  • Charts disabled (Can be enabled by installing 32bit libs, see
  • InstallDirections.txt in parent directory for directions)
  • Loading pre-made vehicles is disabled
  • No dates on load save games
  • Materials not showing up correctly on vehicles on some video cards
