I think it would be great if you can start design in assisted mode (so that some less obvious parameters such as chassis size are set) and continue tweaking in full mode. I believe it will be most helpful to players who are trying to use Full mode (because it's fun!), but are not yet ready to set everything right

This suggestion resonates with me. Sounds nice to be able to quickly set some rough abilities and numbers down, and then switch over to tweak the element with some more specific sliders.
